A new UNECE publication reframes the policy question from “What energy efficiency technologies should be implemented?” to “How to design the system so that proven measures are scaled up, maintained and affordable?”.
The Lithuanian Parliament supported the postponement of the implementation of the electronic toll collection system until 2027. The decision was made by a majority vote. At the same time, new proportions for the distribution of funds between state and local roads were approved.
At the end of October, the European Parliament and the Council adopted Directive (EU) 2025/2205 on driving licenses and Directive (EU) 2025/2206 on driving license withdrawals. The new rules concern the key professional driving document and establish uniform standards for the exchange of licenses and the application of driving bans within the EU.
