
The US Department of Commerce included in the list of sanctions the planes of Russian companies engaged in business transportation.

In total, 297 aircraft of Russian companies are now listed on the sanctions list of the US Department of Commerce, including two business jets of billionaire Roman Abramovich. The previous version of the list was compiled in March 2023.
Sanctions against Russian civil aviation were first introduced in March 2022 in response to Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine. At the same time, the USA, EU, Great Britain and Canada closed their skies to Russian planes. After that, Washington warned international airports around the world that the sanctions prohibit refueling, maintenance and repair of aircraft from Russia.
