JSC “Ukrzaliznytsia” shared its plans for the development of a single digital window for providing services — the “UZ-Cargo e-Portal”. Already this year, UZ will implement an information events database that will provide customers with access to up-to-date information on cargo, wagons, shipments, and more.
Customers will also be able to automatically receive information about a wagon malfunction: where it stopped, for what reason, etc. This was stated by Ivan Khoryakov, Deputy Director of the Department of Transportation Technology and Commercial Work of JSC Ukrzaliznytsia, during a networking meeting.
“This information will be available in the personal account. At the client’s request, it will also be sent to the messenger or e-mail. There will be a lot of information, so we will implement filters, and everyone will be able to choose exactly the data that interests them,” Khoryakov said.
In 2025, the “UZ-Cargo e-Portal” is expected to implement four key functional areas:
• informing about events — with cargo, wagons, shipments, etc.
• Formation of electronic powers of attorney.
• Improvement of contractual work.
• launch of an “on-line” chat and chat bot.
For his part, the Director of the Information Technology Department of JSC Ukrzaliznytsia Ernest Klymenko emphasized that the company seeks to create a single digital portal with the “e.Portal UZ-Cargo” by analogy with the state service “Diya”.
“We are globally moving towards creating a single portal to provide all services to our clients. This is not only about UZ freight transportation - now through the system you can conclude contracts for scrap metal, draw up technical conditions for connecting to tracks or to energy supply. In fact, this will be an analogue of the “Diya” portal - a single access point to all services. The only exception is passenger transportation, for which a separate toolkit is used,” Klymenko noted.
In addition, working groups with business representatives were created during the event to help provide feedback and advice on improving UZ IT systems.
We would like to remind you that earlier UZ introduced the possibility of signing a contract for the provision of terminal services and a contract for freight forwarding services electronically on the “UZ-Cargo e-Portal” and launched a new service that simplified the process of submitting complaints regarding the station’s refusal to draw up a commercial act (general form act) or the execution of acts in violation of the Transportation Rules.
