"Ukrzaliznytsia" as part of a new service for container transportation offers participants of the freight transportation market to become "intermodal train operators."
"We offer to buy part of the volumes of transportation as part of a certain intermodal train and thus become its operators," said Valery Tkachev, deputy director of the commercial work department of JSC UZ.
According to the carrier, users of the service will receive: rhythmic transportation; estimated delivery time; the possibility of integration into the European system of container trains; projected cost.
"Ukrzaliznytsia", in turn, will have the opportunity to plan employment/use of its capacities; speeding up the turnover of rolling stock; increasing the share of the use of JSC UZ wagons; covering the costs of organizing the service and transporting an intermodal train.
Tkachev noted that the new intermodal service combines the transportation of container, trailer trains and trains of combined transport.
