Ukraine received the second tranche of aid for the aviation industry from the Aeronautical Solidarity Fund

The Ministry of Development of Communities, Territories and Infrastructure of Ukraine reported that the second tranche of support for the Ukrainian aviation industry from the Aeronautical Solidarity Fund has arrived, writes TTS.

It is noted that the funds will be used to support the operating expenses of the national provider of air navigation services "Ukraerorukh".

Ukraine received the first tranche in February this year.

The second tranche, in particular, will be aimed at professional training and maintaining the qualifications of the company's operational staff.

The basis for the allocation of funds was the completion of the cost assessment of Ukraerorukh and the receipt of a positive report from external auditors - the Ernst & Young company. Conducting an assessment and audit is a condition for the implementation of the Solidarity Fund in accordance with the Agreement between Ukraine and Eurocontrol.

The fund was created at the end of last year with the support of "Eurocontrol" in cooperation with the Ministry of Reconstruction. Its main goal is to support the infrastructural, operational and professional components of the air navigation system of Ukraine and create conditions for the post-war recovery of the industry.
