Ukraine exported more than 29 million tons of grain

The volume of exports of grain and leguminous crops from Ukraine in the 2023/24 FY as of February 28 amounted to 29.14 million tons. This is 2.6 million tons, or 8% less than the similar figure last season.

This is evidenced by the data of the State Customs Service published by the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.

Thus, 11.5 million tons of wheat have been shipped since the beginning of the season, which is 2% higher than last year's volume. The supply of barley to foreign markets amounted to 1.6 million tons, which is 22% less than last year. 1 thousand tons of rye were sent (-94%).

15.8 million tons of corn were exported, which is 2.4 million tons or 13% less than shipments on the same date last season. Export of flour from Ukraine amounted to 73.7 thousand tons, which is 21 thousand tons or 25% less than last year's figure.

 

For reference: in 2022/23 MR, the export of grain and leguminous crops amounted to 49 million tons: wheat — 16.8 million tons; barley — 2.7 million tons; rye - 18 thousand tons; corn — 29.1 million tons; flour - 153.6 thousand tons
