The head of the UZ emphasized that it is about internal transportation.

Tariffs for domestic passenger and freight transportation by "Ukrzaliznytsia" will not be increased, said Yevhen Lyashchenko, chairman of the board of JSC UZ.

"Ukrzaliznytsia's financial plan for this year does not include an increase in tariffs for transportation. Neither for passenger nor for freight," Lyashchenko said.

He emphasized that it is about domestic transportation.

As for foreign ones, there is joint pricing with international partners.

"For foreign countries, it depends not only on us. That's why I can't say with 100% certainty that there will be no growth. However, if there will be, it will definitely be insignificant," added the head of the UZ.

It is worth noting that in the summer of 2022, freight railway tariffs were immediately increased by 70%. The coefficients were increased for all types of cargo.

At the end of 2023, the general director of the Federation of Transport Employers of Ukraine (FRTU) Volodymyr Husak informed that the UZ is preparing another increase in railway tariffs, approximately by 20% from the beginning of 2024.

Oleksandr Kalenkov, the president of the "Ukrmetalurgprom" association, wrote that, according to the information he has, in 2024 UZ plans to increase the cost of services by 15%, administrative expenses - by 20%, and sales - by 24%.
