The Polish private carrier SKPL Cargo carried out an unusual railway transportation of an almost 300-ton 2TE10M locomotive from Latvia to Ukraine, bypassing Belarus.

The 2TE10M locomotive, produced in the 80s in Luhansk, is a real colossus - it has two sections, 12 axles and weighs 276 tons.
Locomotives of this type are repaired by the Latvian one in Daugavpils. In connection with the participation of Belarus in the war against Ukraine, a problem arose, how to transport locomotives from Latvia to Ukraine.
The diesel locomotive was transported through Poland to the LHS station in Sędziszów. The transportation was organized by the private company SKPL in cooperation with infrastructure managers PKP PLK and PKP LHS, who also intend to transport other locomotives in this way.
