Almost 24,000 processed transit declarations and 85 authorizations for the use of transit simplifications

On October 1, 2023, a year has passed since the start of international application of NCTS by Ukraine. During this period, more than 19,500 movements initiated by the customs authorities of Ukraine were successfully completed in the member countries of the Convention on the Common Transit Procedure. At the same time, more than 4,000 relocations started in other countries participating in the Convention were successfully completed in Ukraine.

In the context of the further expansion of the application of NCTS, the State Customs Service is actively working to attract enterprises to provide authorization for the application of transit simplifications in accordance with the Convention. Thus, 85 authorizations for the use of transit simplifications have already been granted, of which 37 authorizations for the use of a general guarantee, 1 - for the use of a general guarantee with a reduction in the size of the reference amount to 30%, 39 authorizations - for the objects of authorized consignors and consignees, as well as 8 authorizations - for the use of seals of a special type. More than 40 applications from enterprises are at various stages of consideration.

Since October 1, 2022, the State Customs Service has registered 31 general guarantees in the NCTS guarantee management system, 20 of which are valid as of the beginning of October 2023, worth almost EUR 60 million. Also, 1,373 individual electronic guarantees are registered in the NCTS guarantee management system, 1,232 of which are valid for the amount of EUR 66 million.

The State Customs Service also cooperates with the customs authorities of other countries within the framework of administrative assistance in accordance with the Convention. During the year of international application of NCTS, almost 300 requests for the proper completion of the common transit procedure were initiated and more than 300 requests received from customs administrations of other countries were processed.

As part of providing consultations to both business representatives and officials of customs authorities, since the beginning of the international application of NCTS, the Joint Transit Support Service of the State Customs Service has processed more than 2,500 requests.
