Since the opening of the "Yagodin-Dorogusk" checkpoint, the number of vehicles waiting in line to leave Ukraine has decreased from 2,200 trucks to 321 over the past day.
According to TTS, the Deputy Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine, Mustafa Nayem, announced this.
"As of 9 a.m., the queue at the checkpoint has shortened from 42 to 6 kilometers. At the moment, drivers need 1-2 days to leave the country. At the beginning of the month, they had to wait up to 7-10 days," he noted.
A significant reduction has been observed during the last two days.
Up to 600 vehicles pass through the checkpoint per shift.
A significant improvement of the situation became possible due to the opening of the "Ustilug-Zosin" checkpoint for empty vehicles.
