On November 14, 2023, the European Commission and Bulgaria presented the single information platform "Port Community System" (PCS), which was financed by the European Union together with other investors, writes TTS.
4 million euros were allocated from the European Regional Development Fund for the development of the platform.
PCS is designed to exchange information within port communities.
It integrates disparate systems managed by multiple organizations into a single network to share mission-critical data and streamline service delivery.
In particular, electronic processing of customs declarations and data will be provided through PCSabout imported and exported goods.
It took 44 months to develop and implement the information system.
