Polish farmers block the movement of trucks at three checkpoints, allowing several freight vehicles per hour, or restricting traffic altogether.
Spokesman of the State Border Service Andriy Demchenko informed the correspondent of Ukrinform about this.
"As of April 3, blocking is carried out in the direction of the checkpoints "Yagodin", "Rava-Ruska" and "Ugryniv". Polish farmers renewed the blocking of the latter yesterday. Through "Yagodin" and "Rava-Ruska", as before, Polish protesters do not let trucks through to Poland at all. In the last period, zero indicators of border crossings by trucks leaving Ukraine were recorded on these directions. Through "Ugryniv", they indicated that they would let one truck per day to Poland," said Demchenko.
According to him, the protestors allow an extremely small number of trucks to leave Poland through the "Yagodyn" transport company. Over the past day there were 60 of them. Despite the fact that this is the largest infrastructural direction for crossing the border by trucks.
As of this morning, a total of 400 trucks are in queues on the territory of Poland on these three blocked routes, Demchenko said.
Cars and buses cross the border freely everywhere, for this category of transport, movement on the other side of the border is not restricted.
He reminded that earlier Polish farmers stopped blocking the traffic of trucks at the checkpoints "Krakivets", "Shegyny" and "Ustylug". In these directions, there is now intensive traffic both for departure from Ukraine and for entry. Queues on the territory of Poland still persist - 700 trucks in the direction of "Krakowiec", 400 in "Szegyna". However, with the current traffic intensity, drivers do not have to stand in queues for weeks, the spokesman emphasized.
As reported, in Poland on Tuesday, April 2, around 9:00 a.m., the blocking of the movement of trucks in front of the checkpoint "Ugryniv - Dolgobychuv" resumed.
