Moldovan Railways has agreed to provide a discount of 27% to the existing tariffs for transit transportation of Ukrainian agricultural products through the territory of the Republic of Moldova in the direction of the ports of Reni, Giurgiulesti and Galati. Logist.Today learned about this from a message published by the press service of the Ukrainian Grain Association (UZA).
The relevant ministers of Ukraine and Moldova agreed on the discount during the online meeting. Representatives of the Ukrainian Railways were also present at the meeting.
The new tariff conditions will be effective from July 15, 2023.
The UZA added that the new tariff conditions for transit cargo will be calculated as a discount to the basic tariffs, provided that all freight forwarding organizations comply with the volumes of transportation. To recalculate the tariff, one of two conditions must be met: the fulfillment of the set volume of freight transportation per month or the average monthly volume of transported cargo over the last three months must be greater than or equal to the set volume of freight transportation per month.
