The draft order of the department "On Approval of the Procedure and Conditions for Providing Railway Insurance" has been published on the website of the Ministry of Communities and Territories of Ukraine.
The draft order "On approval of the Procedure and conditions for providing insurance on railway transport" (hereinafter referred to as the draft act) was developed by the Ministry of Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine in accordance with Part 2 of Art. 13 and Art. 19 of the Law of Ukraine "On Transport", Part 7 of Art. 22 of the Law of Ukraine "On Railway Transport".
"The draft act was developed to determine the organizational and general legal relations of insurance in the field of railway transport, which will contribute to the regulation of issues related to the implementation of insurance of the carrier's liability for damage caused to the life and health of passengers, for damage caused to cargo, luggage during transportation by rail, insurance of the life, health and working capacity of employees who operate and maintain railway vehicles, and service the transportation process", the post notes.
It is added that the draft act was finalized taking into account the comments received from the National Bank of Ukraine and trade union organizations.
