
The Ministry of Agrarian Policy has published the conditions for transit of Ukrainian food through Hungary
In the case of transit cargo staying on the territory of the country for more than 7 days, an administrative charge of 100% of the market value of the transported goods without VAT will be applied. The Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food made public the conditions for the transit of Ukrainian productsvolstvo through Hungary. It is noted that from April 18 to July 1 this year, a ban on the import of agricultural products from Ukraine will be in effect. However, transit is allowed, which must be completed through the territory of Hungary within seven days from the date of entry. The conditions under which the transit of Ukrainian agricultural products will be carried out are also given. In particular: the goods are going through the territory of Hungary to other EU member states and third countries, which is confirmed by the T1 transit declaration, in which the specified countries are indicated as the destination of the goods; vehicles must be sealed with customs seals; transportation of prohibited goods through the territory of Hungary must be completed within seven days from the date of entry into its territory. Execution of the T1 transit declaration and sealing with customs seals is possible both on the territory of Ukraine and at the checkpoint on the territory of Hungary. "At the same time, there is no requirement for additional sealing of railway wagons, and railway seals are equated to customs seals," the post emphasizes. "The function of verifying the fulfillment of the relevant requirement is assigned to both customs officials and the police," the information of the department specifies.
In addition, the Hungarian customs officers at the checkpoint will additionally inform about the need to transport prohibited goods through the territory of Hungary within seven days, and the carriers must fill out a corresponding application to familiarize them with such conditions.
The Hungarian side also reported that "the transit of goods prohibited for import to a customs warehouse located on the territory of Hungary, with subsequent transshipment and export in transit, will be prohibited, as any movement of goods prohibited for import will be prohibited, if the destination is on the territory of Hungary".
"For example, in the case of transshipment of cargo from rail transport to road transport on the territory of Hungary, such transportation is impossible due to the above-mentioned reasons," the ministry noted.
If the goods are sent from Ukraine in 1435 mm standard railway wagons, they are sealed on the territory of Ukraine using UZ seals, which are equivalent to customs seals. If the goods are sent from Ukraine in railway wagons for a gauge of 1520 mm with reloading in wagons for a gauge of 1435 mm on the territory of Hungary, sealing is also mandatory. Sealing of wagons for the 1520 mm gauge takes place on the territory of Ukraine with the use of UZ seals.
"The sealing of 1435 mm gauge wagons, after overloading on the territory of Hungary, takes place using the seals of the railway carrier. Railway seals are equal to customs seals", - the post of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy states.
In addition, the procedures and rules of veterinary control remain unchanged.
