Problematic issues were voiced at the meeting:
A difficult situation with the transfer of cargo is recorded at 3 western border crossings:
-Yagodin-Dorohusk (with Poland);
- Mostyska-2-Medyka (with Poland);
- Vadul - Siret - Dornesti (with Romania).
The reasons for the complicated transfer of goods and measures to improve the situation were announced.
The other 11 western crossings are underloaded and operate at 20-60% capacity.
Representatives of the grain market (consignors of grain cargoes) expressed concern about the increase in the cost of using Ukrzaliznytsia JSC grain wagons, which are traded on the Prozorro.Prodazhi UTS (at the last auctions of ZRV CTL, the average sales rate was recorded at UAH 3,930/day).
Shippers offered:
to put the maximum possible number of wagon shipments to the ZRV of CTL at auctions (CTL has objective limitations in the availability of wagons - the total working fleet of ZRV is 26,100 grain trucks, including CTL - approximately 5,500 wagons);
to return the mechanism of the sale of CTL grain trucks at auctions tied to shipment decades, which will enable CTL to form a schedule of shipments to the ZRV and calculate the balance of shipment wagons and additionally put them up at auctions (increase the supply of UZ wagons).
In the near future, CTL will consider the mentioned market offers.
Representatives of the cement industry expressed concern about the decrease in the number of cement trucks in the working fleet of UZ and offered to additionally repair cement trucks to meet the needs of the cement industry.
It was agreed that the "Ukrcement" association will provide the planned volumes of cement for transportation by railway in 2024.
JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" will calculate the need for cement wagons and increase the number of the working fleet. In addition, UZ offers cement manufacturers to conclude long-term contracts for the provision of cement transportation by the CTL fleet for a period of 6-12 months with a fixed cost of using the wagon.
