JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" has developed a mechanism for concluding long-term contracts for the use of wagons of the "Transport Logistics Center" branch.

This was discussed during the meeting of the Export Office at the UZ on February 13. As the board member of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" Vyacheslav Eryomin noted, in the company's plans, 60% of the company's wagon fleet will be directed to the provision of transportation within the framework of long-term contracts, the rest will be sold at auctions in the ETS "Prozorro.Prodazhi" or on general terms.

He added that the contracts will be concluded for the period until the end of the year. Then the agreements can be extended, but with a revision of the rates for the following year.

Currently, companies that have expressed interest in concluding long-term contracts need to once again write a letter to the "Transport Logistics Center" branch of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" to the department of wagon balancers indicating the specific volumes and all the nuances of transportation that the consignor plans to hand over for transportation by the end of the year. The deadline for providing such letters is until the end of February.

"If you write your wishes at the beginning of the week, then at the end of the week or the next we will be able to conduct bilateral negotiations with you and discuss specific rates based on the volumes you offer," the official clarified.

According to Vyacheslav Yeromin, it is planned to start signing contracts in the first decade of March. A system of discounts is provided: the larger the volume, the lower the rate. The board member also noted that the planned volumes do not necessarily have to be the same every month. That is, a business that works "seasonally" can also join the innovation.

At the same time, the previous monthly volumes will be calculated. The final calculation will be made after the end of the year. Then it will be clear whether the business managed to fulfill the planned volumes, and then the final amount of the discount will be calculated.

The member of the board emphasized that the conclusion of long-term contracts will be carried out within the internal procedure, and not through the Prozorro system.

In addition, the option of adding a fee for the use of a car on the approach track to the general rate is being considered.

"If the consignor does not have a sufficiently large volume of freight work, then the rate of payment for the use of the wagon on the approach track may includeto a single rate, i.e. there will be one payment," stressed Andriy Miroshnikov, deputy director of the company's commercial work department.

As previously reported, almost 30 companies intend to conclude long-term contracts with Ukrzaliznytsia.
