Invitation of the UKRZOVNISHTRANS Association to the 2025 Leaders Summit

16 May
2025

This year marks a key event: 25 years since the late UN Secretary-General Kofi Annanlaunched the United Nations Global Compact, which works with business leaders to build a more inclusive, sustainable and ethical global economy.

What began as a bold experiment in corporate responsibility has since grown into the world’s largest corporate sustainability initiative, involving more than 20,000 companies in over 160 countries.

Over the past quarter century, the UN Global Compact has fundamentally reimagined the role of business in society. It has inspired companies to embrace sustainability not as a secondary factor, but as a primary driver of strategy and innovation.

The 25th anniversary is not just a reflection of the progress we have made; it is a call for greater ambition, unity and collaboration. The private sector must remain at the forefront, not as a passive participant, but as a driver of systemic change. In a recent address to private sector leaders, Secretary-General António Guterres said: “I call on you to come up with bold ideas and ambitious commitments to help implement the Sustainable Development Goals and build a networked, inclusive multilateral dialogue fit for the twenty-first century.”

As a member of the UN Global Compact, the UKRZOVNISHTRANS* Association has demonstrated its commitment to the Ten Principles on human rights, labor, the environment and anti-corruption. Now, let us take this commitment further by joining forces to accelerate action.

The Association is invited to the 2025 Leaders’ Summit, which will be shaped directly by the feedback of participants. This year’s gathering will focus on actionable insights, inspiring speeches and meaningful opportunities to connect with the UN Global Compact and other leaders from around the world.

The 2025 Leaders Summit will provide global sustainability leaders like you with the tools, networks, knowledge and inspiration you need to face this moment with confidence and courage.

Join your colleagues from around the world as we take the next step together in building a sustainable future.

Sincerely,

Sanda Ojiambo

Assistant Secretary-General and Chief Executive Officer
