Veterinary, sanitary and phytosanitary control from the Ukrainian-Polish border will be transferred to the Lithuanian port.

Ukraine, Poland and Lithuania agreed on a "green corridor" for the transit of Ukrainian grain through Poland to the Lithuanian port of Klaipeda.

As CTS writes, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food reported this.

Veterinary, sanitary and phytosanitary control from the Ukrainian-Polish border will be transferred to the port of Klaipėda, for all agricultural cargoes going to this port.

"This will speed up transit through the territory of Poland," the message reads.

It is noted that the joint decision was made at the meeting of the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Mykola Solsky with the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development of the Republic of Poland Robert Telus and the Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Lithuania Kyastutis Navickas.

Solskyi reported that Ukraine proposed a new mechanism, and Telus and Navickas noted that their governments support this type of control and consider it a constructive step.
