The government initiated the renewal of customs inspections from March 1

At a meeting on February 6, the Cabinet of Ministers approved the draft law, which provides for the renewal of documentary customs checks from March 1.

This was reported by the representative of the government in the Verkhovna Rada, Taras Melnychuk.

He emphasized that the adoption of the draft law is one of the obligations to the IMF.

It proposes to restore the authority of the customs authorities to carry out documentary checks of compliance with the requirements of the law, in particular with regard to the timeliness, reliability, completeness of the assessment and payment of customs payments, starting from March 1.

Also from March 1 aboutit is proposed to renew for the unused period the documentary checks (counter-checks), which were started and not completed by February 24, 2022.

and provide, within 60 days from the date of entry into force of the law, to send (deliver) acts (certificates) on the results of documentary checks, reconciliations, objections, tax notices-decisions, the procedure for the delivery of which has not been completed by February 24, 2022.

At the same time, the draft law proposes to establish a moratorium on the conduct of documentary checks by the State Customs Service for taxpayers located in the occupied territories or in the zone of active hostilities.

And also regulate the renewal of inspections in the event that such a payer changes his location.
