
Foreign ports located within logistical reach of Ukraine increased transshipment in 2022
In particular, the port of Gdansk increased its total transshipment to 68 million tons.
All foreign ports located within logistical reach for Ukrainian exports and imports showed an increase in cargo transshipment in 2022. It is noted that the dynamics of transshipment in individual ports was as follows: Gdansk increased the total transshipment by 28.2% y/y to 68.2 million tons. At the same time, the port reduced transshipment of bulk cargoes, including iron ore, by 20% y/y. - up to 3.6 million tons.
The port of Szczecin-Świnoujście increased transshipment by 10.8% y/y to 36.8 million tons. At the same time, transshipment of iron ore increased by 11.4% y/y. - up to 2.11 million tons.
In the port of Riga, transshipment increased by 9.4% y/y, up to 23.5 million tons. Ore transshipment increased by 16.8% y/y. - up to 954.6 thousand tons, but the processing of ferrous metals decreased by 28.7% y/y. - up to 516.6 thousand tons.
Port of Liepaja - increase in transshipment by 7.8% y/y, up to 7.6 million tons. Transshipment of iron and manganese ore increased 11.5 times to 58.7 thousand tons, metal processing decreased by 43.3% y/y.
