
At a recent FIATA meeting at its headquarters in Geneva, FIT Alliance members – ICC, DCSA and FIATA – informed over 200 attendees about the results of the eBL survey, highlighting key barriers to digitalization for freight forwarders. This was followed by a session on digital trust and cybersecurity, which addressed critical issues such as system lock-in, backend connectivity (in line with data standards), cybersecurity threats, fraud and the lack of a clear business case for digital adoption. Freight forwarders have one of the lowest eBL adoption rates of just 6%, according to the survey (see chart below). FIT Alliance continues to educate, demonstrate and address these challenges to drive digital transformation across the industry. Full report
