One of the priorities of the direction of activity of the UKRZOVNISHTRANS ASSOCIATION is the formation of a friendly, social and information environment that contributes to the promotion of both modern logistics solutions and the development of the freight forwarding business, and the creation of the image of the ASSOCIATION as a leading association in its professional field.
The UKRZOVNISHTRANS Association, represented by the General Director, Svitlana Naidenko, took part in the final 5th block "Development: Competencies and Tools", training under the program "Academy of Business Association Development". It brought together representatives of business associations from different regions of Ukraine in the cities of Ternopil and Ivano-Frankivsk (and excursions to Zbarazh and Kalush).
The project is implemented by the National Platform of Small and Medium-sized Businesses with the assistance of the United Nations Development Programme in Ukraine (UNDP Ukrainian) and financial support from the Government of Japan provided within the framework of the initiative “Transformational Recovery for Human Security in Ukraine”.
During the first day, participants immersed themselves in the topic of design thinking – a modern tool for creating innovative solutions and a deeper understanding of the needs of their members and partners. The training continued in “Open Space Ternopil” – a center for collaboration, creativity and entrepreneurial development.
Together with strategic planning expert Yulia Marunyak, the participants explored the basics of design thinking: empathy, problem formulation, idea generation and prototyping.
A meeting was held with the Ternopil Business Council and the Ukrainian Business League, where participants learned about local initiatives and opportunities for cooperation.
A round table was held on the prospects for development and needs of business associations, which became a space for exchanging experience and developing solutions to improve the work of the Academy of Business Associations.
The participants had the opportunity to establish new partnerships and strengthen professional ties. The first day was extremely eventful, and ended in an atmospheric and productive manner in the private club "Lysy".
The second day was no less eventful. Representatives of business associations from different regions of Ukraine studied the strategy tool using the example of China's military strategy, culture and business in the Far Eastern region. The module trainer was Serhiy Lesnyak, head of the East Asia Bureau of the Center for Global Studies "Strategy XXI", a teacher of strategy and international business (LvBS). An expert in military and business strategies, he worked in the People's Republic of China for 17 years.
On the third day, a familiarization visit to the city of Zbarazh took place, where a warm meeting with the mayor Roman Polikrovsky and a tour of the Zbarazh Castle took place.
On the third day, the participants moved to the city of Ivano-Frankivsk to the private King Danylo University, where they learned from Andriy Bezruchenko, director of the marketing department, public broadcasting, how to create and develop a business association brand. They also visited the innovation center "Promprylad.Renovation" - as an example of a modern development ecosystem. Today, this is an innovation center based on an old factory, which works at the intersection of four areas of regional development: new economy and urbanism, modern art and education. This is a project in the field of impact investment, where investors simultaneously invest in social impact on the region and receive a return on investment in the form of dividends.
The day was continued with a study visit to the city of Kalush, where they met with the business relocation and industrial development support team, advisor to the Kalush city mayor Serhiy Guminylovich, and the chairman of the board of the Precarpathian industrial cluster Natalia Zakharova. At the meeting, they talked about how the modern infrastructure of Kalush supports the development of small and medium-sized businesses; what conditions and resources are open for industrial enterprises; what investment opportunities are being formed in the region; what role local authorities and the cluster play in creating a favorable environment for innovation and sustainable economic growth.
I would like to express my sincere gratitude to:
