The UKRZOVNISHTRANS Association took part in the training from November 6 to 8 in Lviv, which became a center of meetings, discussions and inspiration within the framework of the module “Communications, Advocacy and Lobbying”.
This module is dedicated to important topics - external communications, reputation, advocacy and effective interaction of business with authorities, partners and the public. It is these skills that form the basis of influential and sustainable business associations, able to protect the interests of their members even in the most difficult economic conditions.
The first day of the training began with a presentation of the systemic approaches of the city of Lviv to the development of entrepreneurship.
The special guests of the event were:
— Andriy Moskalenko, First DeputyDeputy Mayor of Lviv;
— Inna Svystun, Director of the Department of Economic Development of the Lviv City Council.
The meeting was also attended by representatives of Lviv industry clusters, including the Lviv Furniture Cluster, IRON.Tech, the Western Ukrainian Fashion Industry Cluster, the Publishing and Printing Cluster, and the Lviv Transport and Logistics Cluster.
A meeting was held at the Entrepreneurship Support Center, during which Yulia Voytehova spoke about her activities, cooperation with entrepreneurs, as well as the creation and implementation of many projects aimed at developing the business environment.
Representatives of business associations, unions, and clusters from all over Ukraine visited the Prosthetic Workshop, the Unbroken Rehabilitation Center, and Lem Station, and also saw the city from the Town Hall Tower.
The second day of training was no less eventful, participants learned about reputation and communication in the structure of the organization, the management system and its impact on the reputation of the organization, about strategy, stakeholders, communication and methodology of influence, Mykhailo SHURANOV - an expert in external communications, director of communications of Neqsol Holding in Ukraine told.
At the end of the day, there was an introduction to the work of the Lviv Defense Cluster.
The third day of training was held under the slogan Advocacy and Lobbying and was held at the Metropolitan Andrey Sheptytsky Center of the Ukrainian Catholic University. Denys Bazilevych - an expert in advocacy and lobbying, head of the GR group NOVA spoke about the basic principles and approaches: basic concepts, legislative restrictions, digitalization, ethics and compliance. Yuriy Pidlisny - head of the Department of Political Science of the university made a study tour.
The training program is being implemented within the framework of the project “Business Association Development Academy: Strengthening the Organizational Capacity of Ukrainian Business Associations as Intermediaries between Micro, Small and Medium-Sized, and Large Businesses”. The project is being implemented by the National Platform of Small and Medium-Sized Businesses with the assistance of the United Nations Development Program in Ukraine (UNDP Ukraine) and financial support from the Government of Japan provided within the framework of the “Transformational Recovery for the Security of People in Ukraine” initiative.
