The cargo turnover of China's ports (sea and river) for January-November 2024 increased by 3.4% compared to the figure for the same period of the previous year - up to 16 billion tons, the National Bureau of Statistics of the country reported.
In November, the indicator increased by 3.7% year-on-year and amounted to 1.53 billion tons.
Including cargo turnover of sea (coastal) ports for 11 months increased by 3.4% and reached 10.27 billion tons.
In November, cargo turnover of seaports increased by 3.1% year-on-year and amounted to 948.2 million tons.
The cargo turnover of China's sea and river ports in 2023 was 16.97 billion tons, an increase of 8% compared to 2022.
