From April 15 to 19, 2024, the XXXVIII meeting of the Conference of General Directors (responsible representatives) of OSZ railways was held in the capital of Turkmenistan, Ashgabat, in which delegations from:

The reason may be damage to the railway infrastructure as a result of Russian shelling.

JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" has extended until April 17 the validity of the convention limiting the transportation of all types of cargo to Chornomorsk-Port and Chornomorsk-Port-export stations.

These restrictions, as TTS wrote, were initially applied from April 11 to 13.

In the coming years, the construction of a railway with a European gauge of 1435 mm from Chernivtsi is planned.

As CTS reports, Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal announced this after the ceremony of starting the construction of the Chop-Uzhgorod Eurotrack on April 11.

The issue of the possibility of non-parity performance of passenger transportation by Ukrainian companies is also being considered.

The Ministry of Development of Communities, Territories and Infrastructure of Ukraine agreed with the Ministry of Transport and Maritime Affairs of Montenegro on the liberalization of all cargo transportation between the countries from June 1, 2024.

"Ukrzaliznytsia" transported 44.69 million tons of cargo in the first quarter of 2024, which is 28.7% or 9.96 million tons more than in the same period of 2023.
