The G7 countries are working on a scheme to combat the theft of Ukrainian grain from the occupied territories by means of chemical identification of its origin, said the Minister of Food and Agriculture of the Government of Great Britain, Mark Spencer, at the conference of the International Grain Council.

He emphasized that Britain plays a leading role in the scheme of tracking grain from Ukraine, and the G7 countries also closely cooperate with Ukraine in this matter.

"We believe that chemical identification will be an effective means of preventing further theft of Ukrainian grain," Spencer noted.

We will remind that in August last year it was announced that Great Britain will allocate 1.5 million pounds for means of tracking grain stolen in Ukraine on the world market.
