There are almost 850 trucks in queues in Poland.
As of the morning of March 21, truck traffic was blocked at four checkpoints on the border with Poland. Polish farmers stopped blocking the passage of trucks in the direction "Medyka" - "Sheghini".
This was reported by the spokesman of the State Border Service of Ukraine, Andriy Demchenko, writes "UP".
Currently, checkpoints "Yagodin", "Ustylug", "Ugryniv" and "Rava Ruska" are blocked for trucks. Polish farmers stopped blocking the "Medyka" - "Sheghini" checkpoint.
"Information of MrUkrainian border guards received this at about 21:30 the day before from representatives of the Polish Border Guard. They noted that Polish farmers have completed blocking the movement of freight vehicles entering and leaving Poland. Therefore, the registration of this category of transport began to be carried out in the usual manner," said Demchenko.
As of the morning of March 21, there are almost 850 trucks on the territory of Poland. The biggest one is opposite "Yagodin" and "Rava Ruska".
According to the DPSU representative, farmers allow different numbers of trucks in both directions at blocked checkpoints. For example, only 50 trucks were allowed to enter Ukraine through "Yagodin" in the past day, which is a critically low indicator for this direction. In addition, cargo vehicles to Poland are not allowed through "Yagodin" and "Rava Ruska".
Queues also arose in other directions of the western border. In particular, 1,000 trucks, 530 cars in line opposite the Uzhhorod checkpoint on the Slovak side, in front of the Tysy checkpoint on the territory of Hungary, and almost 400 vehicles on the Romanian-Ukrainian border opposite the Porubne checkpoint.
Blocking the checkpoint "Medyka-Sheghini"
The previous afternoon, the DPSU reported that Polish farmers blocked the movement of buses at the "Medyka-Sheghini" checkpoint in the Lviv region. The timing of traffic blocking was not announced.
The Deputy Prime Minister for the Reconstruction of Ukraine - the Minister of Development of Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Oleksandr Kubrakov reacted angrily to such actions of the Poles and even appealed to the Minister of Internal Affairs of Poland.
At night, the Ambassador of Ukraine to Poland, Vasyl Zvarych, reported that the movement of vehicles at the checkpoint "Medyka-Sheghini" is completely unblocked.
