On October 6, 2023, the Assembly of the Ukrainian side of the Ukraine-EU Civil Society Platform (US PGS) was held online.
The PSC is part of the Ukraine-EU Civil Society Platform, which was created in accordance with Art. 469-470 of the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU. The PSC is a body consisting of representatives of Ukrainian civil society on the one hand and members of the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) on the other.
The platform is one of the four bodies of the Association, along with the Council of the Association, the Committee of the Association and the Parliamentary Committee of the Association. And if the former represent the government and parliament, then the PGS was created to ensure the proper role of the public in the process of implementing the Association Agreement.
The PSC may make recommendations to the Association Council. The Association Committee and the Parliamentary Committee of the Association shall make regular contact with the representatives of the Civil Society Platform in order to obtain their opinion on the achievement of the goals of the Agreement.
The PGS Board consists of 15 members - representatives of various sectors of civil society - public associations, trade unions and employers' organizations, which were approved by the Assembly of the PGS Board in accordance with the Regulations:

WORKING GROUP 5 "Energy, transport, environment and climate change"
WORKING GROUP 6 "Science and technology, information society, education,
education and youth, culture and sports"

three representatives of associations of employers' organizations at the national level.
The chairmanship of the Board of Directors of the PGS is carried out on a rotational basis.
During the work, they listened to the report of the Ukrainian side of the Ukraine-EU Civil Society Platform and the presentation of the election results of representatives of the employer sectors and trade unions. There was also a presentation of candidates for the sector of public associations of the PGS Board of Directors and a meeting of Working groups.
They discussed issues related to the competence of the Working Groups and heard the results of the elections of the newly elected members of the PGS Board.
