On September 10, an expert discussion was held on the topic of tariff policy for rail freight transportation in 2025-2026, organized by the Center for Transport Strategies.
The event was held online, on the YouTube channel of the Center for Transport Strategies at 12:00.
The purpose of the discussion is to promote a transparent and professional dialogue between Ukrzaliznytsia and market participants to increase the predictability of tariff (pricing) policy and build effective partnerships with customers.
The following issues are scheduled for discussion:
- what factors will determine the cost of rail transportation in 2025-2026;
- indexation of freight tariffs: what market participants can expect;
- economic impact of transportation costs on export cargo flows (agricultural products, mineral and metallurgical products, building materials, container transportation and other segments);
- cargo base dynamics: how to ensure growth;
- improvement of the tariff formation system in accordance with current economic realities.
Representatives of the government, business, specialized associations, industry experts and media are invited to participate.
As part of the preparation for the round table, the Central Railway Transport Authority conducted a survey to find out the opinions of specialists, market participants and interested experts on which components are priorities for developing a new effective tariff policy in railway transportation.
