USPA AND EMBASSY OF THE REPUBLIC OF POLAND DISCUSSED DIRECTIONS OF COOPERATION IN THE FIELD OF MARINE LOGISTICS AND PORT SECURITY
A familiarization meeting was held at the Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority (USPA) with the participation of the company's management and a delegation of the Embassy of the Republic of Poland led by Chargé d'Affaires ai Piotr Lukasiewicz.
Head of the USPA Oleksandr Semirha thanked the Polish side for its consistent support of Ukraine since the beginning of the full-scale invasion.
"Poland has remained an important ally of Ukraine since the first days of the war. We are sincerely grateful for this support and appreciate the Polish side as a strategic partner in the development of port logistics and the establishment of long-term economic partnership," he noted.
During the conversation, the parties discussed the situation in the ports of Greater Odessa after the missile strikes, as well as current challenges in the field of port security. Particular attention was paid to the possibilities of involving Polish enterprises in work in Ukrainian seaports, in particular in the field of container transportation and bulk cargo transshipment. Plans for opening new transit routes were also discussed.
The parties confirmed their common interest in maintaining constant dialogue and practical interaction. In this context, the preparation of an economic mission of Polish companies to Odessa, scheduled for the end of June, was separately discussed.
Charge d'Affaires ai Piotr Lukasiewicz confirmed his readiness to continue supporting Ukraine and his interest in deepening industry cooperation.
