The Agency for Regional Development of the Odesa Region was established on November 6, 2020 to implement the Law of Ukraine "On the Principles of State Regional Policy" and the Standard Provisions on the Regional Development Agency, approved by Resolution No. 258 of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated February 11, 2016. Law of Ukraine dated July 9, 2022 No. 2389-ХХ "On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine Regarding the Basics of State Regional Policy and the Policy of Reconstruction of Regions and Territories", amendments were made to the Law of Ukraine "On Basics of State Regional Policy", in particular, regarding the strengthening of the role of regional development agencies in the implementation of state regional policies in the regions, expansion of the circle of founders and co-founders of the agency, clarification and expansion of the tasks of the agency (in particular, regarding the holding of events in the region on European and Euro-Atlantic topics), financial and logistical support of their activities. Prepares proposals for changes in legislation to promote business development and improve the investment climate in the region and the country as a whole. The agency forms and provides primary analytical information necessary for making investment decisions. It is also looking for opportunities to attract funds from international funds that provide material and technical assistance. Performs the initial selection of a Greenfield and/or Brownfield investment site, in accordance with the needs of the investor.
