The Swinoujscie ferry terminal has resumed operations in Poland

30 August
2024

The terminal is the only facility in Poland capable of operating railway ferries.

The Świnoujście ferry terminal has recently reopened. So rail cars cross the Baltic Sea on ferries from Sweden to Poland.

At the beginning of August, the terminal received a shipment of railway wagons from the Swedish Ystad. The wagons arrived on the Polonia ferry and continued south into Poland for repairs.

The terminal in Świnoujście, which was expanded and modernized last autumn, is now fully equipped to handle rail transport safely and efficiently. It also remains the only facility in Poland capable of operating railway ferries.
