The Ministry's team held a final meeting with the heads of diplomatic missions and the public, during which the relevant leaders presented the progress in their areas for the past year and plans for the future.
"The Ministry in its current composition was formed only a year ago. This allowed us to reorganize our work and prioritize recovery.
This year, we started systematic work with residential infrastructure and urban planning. The program of state assistance for damaged housing is working successfully - isRenovation, under which more than 2 billion hryvnias have already been paid. Starting today, payment processes for destroyed housing have been launched. Another important achievement is the adoption by the Cabinet of Ministers of a resolution on experimental projects in the field of urban planning. It is about the digitalization of the urban planning industry in order to make it accessible, transparent, and provide a system of architectural and construction control and supervision.
An important task for us was the reconstruction of critical infrastructure facilities and the construction of protective structures around them. Also, after the explosion of the Kakhovskaya HPP, on the third day, the construction of a water pipeline was started, which will be able to provide water to more than a million Ukrainians. Construction should be completed by the end of the year.
Together with the Navy of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Security Service of Ukraine and the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, the Ukrainian Corridor through the Black Sea has been launched. It has already sent 241 ships with almost 8.6 million tons of cargo, which is a huge contribution to strengthening our economic stability.
The Regional Development Strategy until 2027 was also created and the road map of the decentralization reform was presented.
This is all just part of the work we have done. I am grateful to my team, which works every day to ensure that Ukraine moves, lives and recovers. Also, my big thanks to international partners for their stable support, which is absolutely invaluable in the reconstruction process. A low bow to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which are holding back the onslaught of the Russian aggressor," commented the Vice-Prime Minister for the Reconstruction of Ukraine - Minister of Community Development, Territories and Infrastructure of Ukraine Oleksandr Kubrakov.
Among the priorities for 2024, Oleksandr Kubrakov defined, in particular, the continuation of the development of export logistics, as the main component of the economic recovery of Ukraine:
Increasing the capacity of automobile checkpoints, railways, sea ports
Development of the Danube port cluster as the main alternative export sea route
Restoration and repair of roads, railway tracks
Restoration of bridges
Improvement of relevant transport legislation
Implementation of European energy efficiency standards
The focus remains on housing, including the expansion of opportunities for restoration, as well as the reconstruction of critical infrastructure facilities, including heat and water supply systems.
