More than 15 million tons of grain have already been exported from Ukrainian ports

 

Since the launch of the Black Sea Grain Initiative, more than 15 million tons of food have been exported from Ukraine.

This was announced by Turkish Defense Minister Hulusi Akar during a trip to Gaziantep province, Ukrinform reports with reference to DHA information.

"Thanks to the work of the joint coordination center established in Istanbul, more than 15 million tons of food was safely sent from the Ukrainian port to the countries that need it," said Akar.

The Turkish minister also emphasized that Turkey, especially in the recent period, conducted active diplomacy to end the Russian-Ukrainian war as soon as possible and achieve a ceasefire, and also made a great contribution to signing and continuing the shipment of grain to overcome the food crisis that threatens the whole world .

As Ukrinform reported, in Istanbul on November 17, Ukraine, the United Nations and Turkey agreed on the continuation of the "initiative on the safe transportation of agricultural products throughBlack Sea" for another 120 days. It started working on July 22, and the first ship with Ukrainian food within its borders left the port of Odessa on August 1.
